Method

  • What is the best way to toast walnuts? Preheat the oven to 350° F. Arrange the walnuts on a baking sheet in a single layer and toast for around 8–10 minutes. The walnuts have to be checked regularly; take them out of the oven when they have a distinct brownish color.

  • Heat the oven up to 350° F.

  • Take the brie and remove the top of the cheese. Afterwards, make vertical cuts on the brie.

  • Place the brie on a pan covered with parchment paper, then sprinkle 1 tablespoon of the toasted walnuts and 1 tablespoon of the dried cranberries over the cheese. Also, add some thyme leaves on the brie. Bake the cheese in the oven for 15 minutes, until it is soft.

  • Take out the brie cheese and enjoy it with some crackers.

Tips

  • For a sweeter taste, add 2 teaspoons of maple syrup.

  • If you do not like dried cranberries, try substituting them with the fresh ones. The taste will not change drastically; it will actually give the brie a sweet-sour flavor.

Bon Appetit!
