Method

  • For this recipe, the oven has to be preheated to 350° F, so the dish will be placed in an already warmed oven.

  • Remove the stem with a knife up to the caps and clean it thoroughly under running tap water.

  • In a bowl mix all the remaining ingredients, do not forget to season it and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Fill the mushrooms using a spoon. Place them on a pan with a baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes until ready.

  • Remove the appetizer from the oven when the mushrooms look succulent and the cheese is melted. Serve it in an original way. For example, try sprinkling some lovage leaves on top of them or 1 tablespoon of bread crumbs.

Tips

  • For the filling, you can also use some leftover mushrooms. Dice them up and mix them into the filling with the other ingredients.

  • Champignon mushrooms are the best ones to use for this recipe because it is easier to remove their stem and, moreover, they pair well with brie cheese.

  • How do you select champignon mushrooms? Choose those that are smooth, firm, and fresh-looking. The mushroom's surface should be dry but not dried out, and it should appear plump.

Bon Appetit!
