  • Coarsely grate the onion. Knead 1/3 onion with tomato paste, minced meat, pepper and salt. Line a casserole dish (approx. 11 Inch long) with the bacon slices, leaving 2 cm hanging over the edge.

  • Coarsely cut the potatoes. Mix in the rest of the onions and the flour, add seasoning. Put half of the potato mixture in your baking dish. Put 4 slices of cheese on the potatoes, spread the mixture of minced meat on top, press down lightly. Put the rest of the potato on top. Fold over the protruding bacon slices. Cut the remaining cheese slices into strips and sprinkle on top.

  • Bake in the middle of the preheated oven (top/bottom heat: 392℉) for 50 minutes until golden brown.


  • You can decorate the casserole with marjoram. 

  • A vegetable salad goes well with this dish.
