Semolina does not have to be sweet. Original semolina porridge with vegetables and chicken fillet is a great option for lunch. Semolina in combination with meat resembles small couscous, only much more tender. The dish turns out tasty, satisfying, fragrant. And one more advantage - unsweetened semolina porridge with chicken fillet cooks very quickly!

Method

  • Сut the chicken fillet into small cubes. Wash, peel the onion and garlic and cut into small cubes.

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan on medium heat. Put the chicken fillet and, stirring, fry for about 5-7 minutes, until white. Add onion. Stirring, fry for about 3-4 minutes, until the onions are soft.

  • Rinse, then cut the tomato into small pieces and send it to the pan. Add crushed garlic.
Reduce heat to low and stew for about 3-5 minutes, until tomatoes are soft.

  • Then add the semolina, salt, pepper, oregano and basil. Add 350 ml of water.

  • Cover the pan with a lid and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until thickened. Done!

Notes

  • If the porridge is too thick, you can add about 150 ml of water.

  • The porridge is ready when it begins to gurgle a little.

Bon Appetit!
