Begin by slicing up the pear into thin strips and placing into a shallow pan. Place the pan on medium heat and let the pears cook, undisturbed, for 2-3 minutes. While the pears cook, you can make the paste and toast the bread.
To make the paste, combine all the ingredients into a bowl and whisk well. Depending on how thick you like the paste, you can add less or more cashew milk. Additionally, you can also add in a dash of cinnamon for extra flavor. Set aside.
After 3 minutes, stir the pears gently. They should begin to turn translucent and release water. Once the water from the pears has evaporated and the pears are gooey and soft, they are done.
To assemble the toast, simply take a piece of toasted bread, top with half of the frangipane paste and finally crown the toast with the caramelized pears. That’s it! Enjoy!
Bon Appetit!
