Vegan French Toast with Caramelized Bananas

Toast is a great addition to any other meal. Try it, and it will definitely be your favorite breakfast or snack.


  • Unsweetened almond or macadamia milk
    1 cup
  • Medium banana
    1 pcs.
  • Pure maple syrup
    2 tbsp.
  • Natural vanilla extract
    1 tsp.
  • White chia seeds
    1 tbsp.
  • Ground cinnamon
    1 tsp.

  • Beat the milk, banana, maple syrup, vanilla, chia seeds, cinnamon, and salt into a deep wide bowl. Beat the mixture with a blender or broom. The mass should be homogeneous and without lumps. Place in a shallow baking dish. And let the mixture sit for about 5 min. It should thicken.

  • Place a slice of bread in the batter for 30 sec. Then turn over and hold for another 30 sec.

  • Heat the coconut oil in a skillet. You need 1-2 tablespoons for 2 slices of bread. Place the bread slices in a skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides for about 3 min. Some more coconut oil can be added during frying if you need to do it.

  • To keep the cooked toast warm, you can do the following. Preheat oven to minimum temperature. Then place the prepared toasts on a rack and place in the oven.

  • It's time to cook the bananas. It is a great decoration and addition to toasts. Since bananas are caramelized, their sweet composition will allow the toast to develop an unusual flavor. Peel the bananas and cut into slices. Place the sliced bananas and coconut sugar in a zippered bag. Shake the mixture well. Finally, heat the coconut oil in a skillet. Then place the bananas evenly in the skillet. The temperature for cooking bananas should be medium. Fry the bananas for about 2-3 min. Then turn the bananas over and cook until tender. A golden brown crust should form. It is important to turn the bananas gently to maintain their integrity.
