  • Ground or milled flaxseeds
    3 tbsp.
  • Dark vegan chocolate
    1 cup
  • Vegan butter
    1 tbsp.
  • Plain flour, sifted
    2 tsp.
  • Cocoa powder, sifted
    2 tsp.
  • Baking powder
    1 tsp
  • Caster sugar
    1 cup
  • Vanilla extract
    to taste
  • Almond milk
    4,8 fl. oz

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. Mix the ground flax seeds with 6 tbsp. of cold water in a bowl, then set aside to thicken. In advance, cover the form in which you will bake brownies with baking paper.

  • Melt the chocolate and butter in any way convenient for you, for example over boiling water in a separate saucepan or microwave.

  • Mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, caster sugar  and a pinch of salt in a separate bowl. Add the mixture to the melted chocolate and mix until smooth, then the flaxseed mixture, vanilla extract and almond milk and mix again.

  • Pour the dough into the prepared baking dish. Bake for about 25 minutes, you will realize that the brownie is ready when the top cracks. Cool completely, then remove from the tin and cut into squares.
