When special occasions such as Christmas roll around, the temptations for sweet desserts become nearly ubiquitous. Due to the absence of flour and sugar, this dessert is not only tasty but also super healthy.

  • Small oat flakes
    1,7 oz.
  • Water
    9,9 tbsp.
  • Dried fruits of your choice
    2,1 oz.
  • Ground hazelnuts
    2,1 oz.
  • Ground flaxseeds
    2 tbsp.
  • Cinnamon
    0,9 pinch
  • Agave syrup
    3 tbsp.
  • Coconut flakes
    2 tbsp.

Method

  • Firstly, soak the oat flakes in a bowl of water. Mix well and then set aside.

  • In the meantime, cut the dried fruits into small pieces. 

  • Then mix the swollen oats with dried fruit, grated hazelnuts, flaxseed, cinnamon, and agave syrup. Stir vigorously with a tablespoon until a homogeneous and sticky mass is formed.

  • Form the balls from this sweet mass. Then roll the balls in coconut flakes. Leave the candy in the fridge for 2 hours to firm up a bit.

Notes

  • You can store up these candies in the refrigerator for about a week.

  • It is better to cut the dried fruits with a sharp and slightly moistened knife, then they will not stick to the cutting edge.
