To start this simple recipe, chop the pitted cherries, starch and brown sugar to a pan. Squeeze 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and add to the pan as well. Leave for 2 minutes on high heat.
In a ceramic dish, add the butter and place it in the oven at 170° degrees until all the butter melts.
Add the baking powder to the flour. Blend everything with a hand mixer to incorporate.
In a clean bowl, mix the milk at room temperature, egg, brown sugar, vanilla sugar and vanilla essence. Sieve the previous combination of flour and baking powder over the mixture.
Add the mixture over the melted butter, then the cherries. Lastly, put the tray in the oven at 170° F for 35-40 minutes.
Serve with cold homemade compote.
Use soy milk and oat flour to get a better and healthier result.
