Fresh Strawberry Cobbler

A dessert with a generous layer of fresh strawberries and a crumbly aromatic dough. The texture of the tart is crumbly due to the dough, and the filling gives it a jam-like consistency.


  • Fresh strawberries
    2 cups
  • Sugar
    2 cups
  • Flour
    1,6 cups
  • Baking powder
    0,8 tbsp.
  • Salt
    a pinch
  • Warm milk
    1,6 cups
  • Vanilla extract
    0,8 tsp.
  • Melted butter
    2 tbsp.

  • To start off, finely dice the fresh clean strawberries. Add 3 cups of white sugar all over them and mix well with a spoon to incorporate the sugar and to form a jam consistency out of the ingredients.

  • For the crust, add the flour, baking powder, salt and 1 cup of sugar. Combine the ingredients well. Add over: milk, melted butter and vanilla essence. Continue to unite them all together.

  • Next step, spray baking spray all over a ceramic tray, add the formed dough and the fruits with sugar on top.

  • Place the cobbler in the oven for 40 minutes at 375° F to cook.


  • Serve with vanilla ice-cream and fresh berries. A lemonade would fit perfectly for this dessert.
