  • Shortening
    1,3 cups
  • White sugar
    2,5 cups
  • Eggs
    4 pcs.
  • Vanilla extract
    2 tsp.
  • Buttermilk
    0,5 cups
  • Bananas, mashed
    2 cups
  • Apples - peeled, cored and shredded

  • Preheat oven to 375 F. Grease the muffin tins with butter.

  • In a separate container, sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.

  • In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until smooth. Whisk in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla and buttermilk. Stir in flour mixture, stirring until combined. Add banana and crushed apple puree. Fill each muffin cup half full.

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool.
