Method

  • The first step is to prepare the hearts from the dough. Beat the butter (200 oz.) with powdered sugar (200 oz.). In the process, add 3 eggs. Add 7 oz. of the sifted flour and mix well. In another bowl dissolve vanilla extract and food coloring in the milk. Pour the food coloring into the dough and mix till the dough is completely colored. Put the dough into a mold and smooth it out. Bake for 10 minutes at 356 degrees F in the oven. 

  • Take the cakes out of the oven and cool. They need to be cut in half lengthwise. Using a small mold in the form of hearts, cut out the hearts. 

  • Now let's make cupcakes. Mix the remaining dry ingredients with 2 eggs and 125 grams of butter. Knead the dough. Put paper molds in the cupcake molds, put the dough into the molds with a spoon, filling the molds not completely. Take the hearts and carefully put them inside the cupcake dough. Bake for 15 minutes in the oven at 356 degrees F. Remove the finished cupcakes from the oven and let them cool. 

  • Decorate the cupcakes with cream to taste, put your favorite berries on top. Or just use a pastry sprinkle. Please your loved ones! 

Tips

  • When you add butter to the dough, you need to mix everything quickly, because the dough may lose the required texture.

  • During baking, don’t open the oven door, and also pull cupcakes out immediately after baking — it’s better to let them cool down a little in the oven.
