Method

  • Over a pan of boiling water, place a bowl of chopped chocolate. For 5 minutes, gently mix it with a spatula until it is melted. Then set the dish aside for an extra 15 minutes, letting the chocolate cool down.

  • Halve the avocados and remove the seed with a knife. Put the flesh in a food processor and add 3 tablespoons of water. Blend until it reaches a smooth, and creamy texture. Scoop the mixture into a dish and proceed to the next step.

  • In the bowl with the avocado, add 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 3 tablespoons of honey, and the melted dark chocolate. Mix until everything is blended together.

  • Divide the mixture into four glasses. Cover them with small plates and refrigerate for two hours. Remove the dishes 20 minutes prior to serving time to let them reach room temperature. Finally, sprinkle the mousse with pistachios, or chocolate drops and enjoy its delightful taste!

Tips

  • How to choose the right avocado? When going to buy an avocado, the first priority is to choose a ripe and fresh one. The color can vary, so it's best to check its firmness. If the avocado yields to your touch, you can be sure it is ripe and ready to eat.

  • If you are not a big fan of honey, try substituting it with 3 teaspoons of maple syrup. The mousse does not change its sweetness, but the taste might slightly differ.

Bon Appetit!
