Making freshly squeezed orange juice is a better choice than buying it bottled, so why not try making it at home? Take three oranges, peel them with a knife, and cut them into quarters. Put the pieces in the blender and blend until the texture is even. Finally, strain the juice through a strainer to separate the solids from the liquid.
All you need is a grater with small holes. Simply take the orange and grate it the same way you would grate cheese. Make sure to rotate the orange as you do so and avoid getting too much of the white part of the peel, which has a more bitter taste and less flavor.
Divide the mixture into separate dishes. Cover each with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator until it thickens, approximately three hours. Finally, top off each serving with a slice of orange for garnish.
Bon Appetit!
