Soft cabbage pie - tasty and simple! The aromatic cabbage filling will appeal to all baking lovers, while the dough is prepared very quickly. Serve cabbage jelly with kefir, yogurt or a cup of aromatic tea: green or black - to your taste.

  • Vegetable oil

  • Mix yeast with a sugar and warm milk. Put on fire and after 5-10 minutes remove from heat when you see that bubbles have already formed. 

  • Melt the butter and add sunflower oil to it and mix everything with the remaining warm milk, sugar, salt and eggs. 

  • Add yeast mixture and flour. Mix everything and leave to infuse for 30-60 minutes. 

  • Knead the dough with your hands or with a mixer. Transfer the dough to a bowl and cover with a cloth for 40-60 minutes. The dough should double. 

  • Boil the chopped cabbage and transfer to a sieve. Simultaneously boil the eggs for 11 minutes. Next, clean the eggs and cut them into small cubes. 

  • Fry the onions in a frying pan until golden brown for 3-4 minutes. Then add the eggs.

  • Mash the present dough and cut off a small piece. Roll it into a sausage and cut into even pieces. 

  • Roll out each piece and put the filling. Close up all edges, giving the shape of a boat. Also repeat with other pieces. Bake in a preheated oven at 356 F for 30-40 minutes.


  • How to hard-boil eggs? 
    Pour enough water into a saucepan to cover the eggs completely. Add eggs and bring to a boil. As soon as the water boils, cook for another 10 minutes. Then cool and clean.
