A delicious recipe of scrambled egg in oriental style. It is cooked with vegetables and cheese. It differs from a typical dish with a spice taste.
Shakshuka is a very hearty dish, so you can cook it in any time. Sprinkle with herbs before serving.

  • Chili pepper

  • Onions

  • Garlic
    4 cloves
  • Cheese Feta

  • Olive oil
    6 tsp.
  • Parsley
    to taste
  • Paprika
    to taste
  • Cumin
    to taste
  • Salt, ground black pepper

Method

  • Peel onions, garlic. Rinse and finely cut.

  • Rinse peppers. Cut lengthwise with a sharp knife, remove seeds and cut into cubes. Slice the hot Chili pepper in the same way (See the tips below).

  • Rinse tomatoes, cut into cubes. Slice the cheese in the same way.

  • Rinse parsley, finely cut.

  • Heat the frying pan, pour in olive oil. Brown onions and garlic for a minute. Then add peppers, stirring occasionally. Cook for a few minutes. Next, add chopped tomatoes. Season with spices. Simmer until tender.

  • As soon as the vegetables get tender, add cubed cheese. Crag eggs into the pan. To do this, make a few holes in the vegetable mixture and drop the eggs into them. Transfer the pan into the oven. Cook for about 10 minutes at 356 F. Sprinkle with parsley.

Tips

  • Wear gloves and peel the chili pepper, so you do not burn your skin. First wash chili, then cut lengthwise with a sharp knife. Remove the seeds with a blade of knife. Then wash your knife and cutting board thoroughly. Do not touch your face and eyes while cutting.

  • Use a cast iron pan to cook Shakshuka in the oven.
