Vegetarian Chili

A very simple vegetarian soup recipe. Prepare with simple ingredients. The dish turns out to be fragrant and very satisfying.


  • Olive oil
    3 tsp.
  • Onion, chopped
    0,5 pcs.
  • Bay leaves
    2 pcs.
  • Ground cumin
    1 tsp.
  • Dried oregano
    6 tsp.
  • Salt
    3 tsp.
  • Celery, chopped
    2 stalks
  • Green bell peppers, chopped
    2 pcs.
  • Jalapeno peppers, chopped
    2 pcs.
  • Garlic, chopped
    3 cloves
  • Chopped green chile peppers, drained
    2 cans
  • Vegetarian burger crumbles
    2 packages
  • Whole peeled tomatoes, crushed
    3 cans
  • Chili powder
    4 tbsp.
  • Ground black pepper
    3 tsp.
  • Kidney beans, drained
    1 cans
  • Garbanzo beans, drained
    1 cans
  • Black beans
    1 cans
  • Whole kernel corn
    1 cans

  • Pour olive oil into a saucepan and heat over medium heat. Add the onion and season with bay leaves, caraway seeds, oregano and salt. Cook and stir until the onions are tender, then add the celery, green bell peppers, jalapenos, garlic and green chili peppers. When the vegetables are warm, add the veggie burger crumbs. Reduce heat to low, cover pan and simmer for 5 minutes.

  • Mix the tomatoes into the pot. Season chili with chili powder and pepper. Stir in the kidney beans, garbanzo beans, and black beans. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer 45 minutes. Stir in the corn, and continue cooking, 5 minutes before serving.
