Hungarian beef stew can be referred with soup. This recipe is made of potatoes, beef stew and vegetables poured with tomato sauce or mashed tomatoes. You can serve it as a main dish or first course.

Method

  • Peel the onion, finely cut it.

  • Finely cut the beef.

  • Cut the smoked pork into small pieces. Heat the frying pan, brown the meat until golden brown. Then add the onion, beef and water (to cover the meat). Close with lid and simmer for 40 minutes.

  • Peel the potato, cut into cubes.

  • Peel the carrot, and grate it.

  • Wash the celery, also grate it. Add the carrot and celery to the meat. Also pour with water.

  • In 10 minutes add grated tomatoes or tomato sauce (1.5 tbsp.) and chopped into cubes pepper.

  • Add the egg noodles to the meat. Season with salt and pepper.

  • Finely cut the parsley and cumin. Crush the garlic. Add these chopped ingredients at the end of cooking. If desired squeeze with lemon juice.
