Method

  • Mix the following ingredients: breadcrumbs, 4 cut cloves of garlic, pepper, finely sliced onion, grated Parmesan, buttermilk, 1 tablespoon of dried oregano, finely cut parsley, salt, lightly beaten egg, ground beef and pork.

  • Form the meatballs, arrange them on a baking dish, cover and put in the refrigerator for 45 minutes.

  • Then fry the balls on all sides for about 13 minutes over medium heat. Preheat your oven to 302°F.

  • Now, sauté the chopped garlic for 2 minutes over low heat. Add the dry red wine to the garlic, then pour the sieved tomatoes. Add 1 teaspoon of dried oregano and the chili flakes. Add the seasoning and stir.

  • Bring to a boil and simmer for 7 minutes. Now return the meatballs and combine them with the sauce. Transfer the meatballs with the sauce to a baking dish and put in the preheated oven.

  • Bake for 90 minutes. Toward the end of the cooking time, sprinkle the dish with grated Parmesan, sliced Mozarella, and raise the oven temperature to 392°F. Serve with pasta sprinkled with grated cheese.

Recommendation

  • Before forming the meatballs, prepare a bowl of cold water to dip your hands in so they don't get too sticky. This will help you form nice shaped balls quickly and easily.

Bon Appetit!
