Method

  • First, take the pumpkin, wash it, and peel off the skin. Afterward, dice it and place the pumpkin in a separate dish.

  • Put the bacon in a skillet that has been heated up, and then sprinkle a teaspoon of olive oil over it. Cook the bacon until it is crispy, which should take about five minutes. Take the bacon out of the skillet and put it on a different plate. In the same skillet, add the diced pumpkin to soak up the bacon grease. Cook the pumpkin for around six minutes until it softens. After that, transfer the cooked pumpkin to the plate with the bacon.

  • Now it's time to form the patties. For that, in a bowl, place the beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Before making the patties, mix the mixture well.

  • Before cooking the patties, preheat the grill. Place the patties on it and spray 1 teaspoon of olive oil over them. Remove the patties from the grill when they are fully done; it usually does not take more than 10 minutes.

  • When making the hamburgers, spread a generous amount of ketchup and mustard on the bottom buns. Before adding lettuce leaves and tomato slices, wash the vegetables thoroughly and cut the tomatoes. Followed by placing on top of the tomato the beef patty and bacon strips. Finally, top the burger with the top bun and enjoy this delicious meal.

Tips

  • If you do not prefer beef, try substituting it with chicken breast. And do the same as you would with the beef meat. The combination of chicken and pumpkin is juicy and truly delicious, so give this combination a chance.

Bon Appetit!
