Method

  • This step is super significant. On a cutting board, place the octopus and finely chop it into small pieces. Then, slice the red onion into thin slices. After these small steps, take the garlic cloves and mince them very well; this will add some extra aroma to the hamburger.

  • In a large bowl, mix the finely chopped octopus, egg, minced garlic, chopped red onion, breadcrumbs, parsley leaves, and lemon juice. Do not forget to season everything with one teaspoon of salt and a pinch of black pepper. After that, form four identical patties of medium thickness.

  • Cook the octopus patties for 5 minutes on a preheated grill. Continue doing so until they reach your desired level of completion.

  • Take the bottom half of each bun and spread a teaspoon of mayonnaise on it. Afterward, put a lettuce leaf and a tomato slice on top of the mayonnaise. Once the octopus patties are fully cooked, place one patty on top of each lettuce-tomato stack. Finally, add the top half of the bun. Enjoy the burger as a quick snack or serve it as a full meal.

Tips

  • Use panko breadcrumbs instead of regular breadcrumbs, as they will give the burgers a lighter and crunchier texture.

  • Avoid overcooking the patties as this can make them tough. The burgers should be cooked until just barely burned.

Bon Appetit!
