Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Add salt, black pepper, and any additional ingredients of your choice to the duck breast to season it. The duck breast should be placed in a skillet with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Cook the meat for about 7 minutes, or until the skin on the breast is crispy.
Put the pan with the duck breast inside the preheated oven. The meat should be baked for 15 minutes, or until it turns brown. After taking the duck out of the oven, give it some time to cool.
To make the cranberry sauce, you will need dried cranberries, maple syrup, orange juice, and apple cider vinegar. Transfer those ingredients into a saucepan and bring everything to a boil while gently mixing. Make sure that everything is prepared on medium heat. After 7 minutes, remove the pan from the heat and let the sauce cool down.
For the last step, take the duck breast and cut it into thin slices, then sprinkle the cranberry sauce on top and enjoy the dish!
The dish goes extremely well with a great number of side dishes, for example, salad or mashed potatoes.
For a different sauce flavor, you can use red wine or duck broth instead of orange juice.
