Method

  • Before cooking the duck breast, season it with salt and black pepper. If desired, sprinkle olive oil on top of it. Make vertical cuts on the duck breast so the seasoning can better combine with the meat. Rub the seasoning on the meat so it combines well with the spices.

  • In a large skillet, transfer the seasoned duck breast. Fry the meat on both sides for around 10 minutes until the duck's skin reaches a golden color. When done, remove it from the heat.

  • Then place the meat on a tray with a baking sheet, sprinkle again with the rest of the olive oil, and bake the duck at 375°F. Cook for an extra 10 minutes until the meat is well done and ready to serve.

  • To prepare the sauce, in a small pan, pour the orange juice, duck broth, honey, and butter. Whisk everything for around 3 minutes. Afterward, add the cornstarch and 1 tablespoon of water. Whisk again and cook the sauce until it starts thickening. When done, remove from the heat and let the sauce cool down.

  • Now for the serving, cut the duck breast into medium-sized pieces. Place them beautifully on a plate, and sprinkle the meat with the orange juice. Decorate the dish as you like. Enjoy the delicious meal!

Tips

  • For decoration, you can use orange slices, rosemary sprigs, or any other greens.

Bon Appetit!
