Dumpling is the national dish of China. According to the legend it was made during a hard winter. This meal helped people to survive in such harsh conditions. We recommend to cook this easy recipe. It is a great addition to the soup, gravy, milk or stew.

Method

  • Sift flour. Combine flour with baking soda and salt. Then add milk and knead a stiff dough.

  • Roll out the dough to about 1/8 in. thick. Then cut into small squares.

  • Sprinkle with flour. Drop into the boiling soup. Cook for about 10 minutes.

Tips

  • Make sure that there is enough liquid in your pot. Dumpling need much liquid.
