Do you like the famous fish fry? Do it at home. Choose any type of fish fillets (for example, cod, haddock). Your dinner will be great! Serve with lemon wedges. The best side dishes: rice, roasted cauliflower, mashed potatoes, crispy potato wedges.

  • Fish fillets
    0,3 lb.
  • Lemon
  • Paprika
    to taste
  • Salt
    to taste
  • Ground pepper
    to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Method

  • Take a bowl and combine the following ingredients: white flour, paprika, salt and ground pepper. Mix well. Transfer this mixture to the plate.

  • Wash the fillets under running water. Use paper towel to dry the fish pieces.

  • Dip the fish fillets into the mixture on both sides. Then gently shake the pieces to remove excess flour.

  • Heat the frying pan, pour vegetable oil. Brown the fish fillets for about 5-7 minutes on both sides until golden.

  • Transfer the fried fillets to a paper towel, to remove the fat. Cut the lemon into wedges and serve the fish with them. 

Tips

  • Brown fish fillets with a lid.

  • It is obligatory to dry the fish fillets after washing under running water.

  • To defrost fish quickly, place it into microwave and use the defrost setting. The second way – transfer the fish to a bowl, filled with cold water. Let it sit for about  an hour. The third way – put under running water (about 30 minutes).
