The mussels must first be cleaned, which is the most crucial stage. To do so, thoroughly wash them in lukewarm water and clean any filth with a fresh sponge. Carefully remove any mussels that may contain detritus or barnacles. The bad mussels should be at all removed from the cooking table.
Peel the skins off the onion and garlic cloves. The onion should next be cut into thin pieces with the use of a knife. Then, chop the garlic cloves.
In a big skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and onion when they've warmed up. The vegetables should be sautéed until the onion turns golden. Add the wine and bring the mixture to a boil. Add salt and black pepper to the food.
When the mixture has reached a boil, stir everything together to ensure that the flavors blend well. After that, place a lid on the skillet and cook for about 7 minutes, or until the mussels begin to open. When everything is done, remove the skillet from the heat and beautifully serve the mussels with the sauce. Decorate the dish with slices of lemon. Enjoy!
When washing the mussels, be careful not to cook those that don't open up at all or that open up excessively and don't close with a gentle tap. These mussels could be flawed.
With a bottle of fine wine, some salty crackers, or a warm baguette, this mussel recipe tastes great.
Bon Appetit!
