  • Double-crust pie pastry, store-bought or homemade

  • Granulated sugar, divided

  • Light brown sugar, packed

  • All-purpose flour

  • Ground cinnamon

  • Ground nutmeg
    tsp.
  • Fresh apricots, halved and pitted
    10 pcs
  • Fresh lemon juice
    2 tsp.

Method

  • First of all, turn on oven and let it heat to 425F. Next step is mixing flour and salt in large bowl. After that add shortening and mix it. Pour table spoons of water until dough holds.

  • Separate dough into 2 parts. First part and roll up into crusts. Take 9-inch baking dish and put crust there.

  • Take medium bowl and mix there flour, cinnamon, lemon juice and sliced apricots. Spread apricot filling over the dough. Second part roll up and put it over the pie. Cut holes on the top. Wrap up pie with foil and put it in the oven.

  • Bake pie for 40 minutes. After that let pie cool and sprinkle with some sugar.
