You can also play around with different type of berry or nuts, to make it even more interesting.

  • Prepare the dessert filling for the bagels: add the fresh berries (in our case, blueberries and raspberries) to the cream cheese and beat with a blender until smooth.

  • Cut the bagel in half lengthwise and lightly toast in a frying pan without oil.

  • Spread the berry filling on each half of the bagel and serve. You can also add the whole berries to your bagel.


  • Use fresh, ripe berries for the best flavor.

  • To make the filling extra smooth, you can strain it through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any seeds.

  • You can use any type of cream cheese you like, such as regular, low-fat, or vegan.

  • If you want to add a little extra sweetness, you can drizzle some honey on top of the bagel before serving.
