Cut the bagel in half. Then, spread butter on one or both halves of the bagel.
Pour honey over the butter. Finally, cover the top with the second half of the bagel.
Use room temperature butter: If the butter is too cold, it will be difficult to spread and won't adhere to the bagel as well. Let the butter sit out at room temperature for about 15–30 minutes before using.
