Mix the soft butter and sugar with a mixer. You should get a light yellow foam. The sugar should dissolve. Add the eggs and then the mashed with fork bananas, mix all until smooth.
Add the sour cream and nuts ( you can chop them with a knife or in a chopper, making a nut powder), mix everything and then add the flour. Knead the dough.
In the end, add the poppy seeds put the dough in a greased butter mold, and bake the banana bread in the oven for 50 minutes at 338 °F and then another 20 minutes at 200 °F. Check with a skewer to see if the bread is ready and if so, take it out of the oven and let it cool. Then slice and serve with jam, butter, or honey.
You can add some sugar on top of the dough for a crispy taste.
If you prefer non-crispy bread, then soak the poppy seeds in milk beforehand, use the milk for other dishes, and the grains will become soft and give a richer flavor to the bread.
