Method

  • Wash, peel and mash the bananas with a fork in a bowl and mix them with vegetable oil, sugar and water. Blend until smooth.

  • Squeeze 1/2 tsp. of lemon juice, add a pinch of vanilla, salt, 2 cups of sifted flour, 1/2 tsp. of baking powder, and chopped walnuts at the end. You can chop the nuts with a knife or garlic masher.

  • Take any baking dish, cover it with parchment paper and grease with any oil, preferably creamy and bake the banana bread in the oven for 50 minutes at 350°F. After the allotted time, pierce with a skewer, if the skewer remains clean, you can pull the bread out of the oven. Let the bread cool to a warm state, cut into pieces and serve with tea, for breakfast or just like that.

Notes

  • Be prepared for the fact that you may need more or less flour than indicated in the recipe. Don't focus on the amount of flour, but on the desired consistency of the dough.

  • Keep in mind that ovens vary in power, so you may need less or more time to bake.

  • You can replace sugar with honey. In that case, use exactly half of the honey per сup of sugar.

  • You can take the bread out with oven mitts and let it cool on a wooden surface (board) or you can turn off the oven and let it stand, until the oven cools. You can use this method, if your bread is a little undercooked.

Bon Appetit!
