Grind the oatmeal in a blender to the consistency of flour. Use high-quality oatmeal.
Wash the dates and remove the pits from them.
In a separate bowl whisk the eggs with the sugar until the sugar melts. Put the dates and the sliced bananas into a blender, and pour in the milk. Add a half teaspoon of cinnamon and baking powder. Mix until smooth.
Mix the mass from the blender with the whisked eggs. Carefully add the oatmeal flour and mix again until smooth. Add the remaining milk and chopped or large chunks of walnuts. Make a dough and put the dough into a greased mold.
Bake at 352 °F for 1-1.5 hours. Check the bread for readiness, occasionally poking it with a spatula so that the bread does not stick to it. When the bread is ready, take it out of the oven. Let it cool and slice it.
If you want to freeze the bread, then keep in mind that it can be stored frozen for 2-4 months.
When the bread has cooled completely, it will seem that the crust is dry. Wrap it in clingfilm and leave it at room temperature for at least 6 hours. You'll be surprised at how much tastier the dessert will be. You can even experiment. Eat half at once and half after 6-10 hours.
The best dates are slightly puffy, with no encrustations, spots, or cracks, of uniform color, without excessive stickiness, and with a pleasantly sweet odor. They should not be too hard or too soft. It is better to buy dates in a transparent package.
