Making bread is not as difficult as it seems, it just takes time, but it's definitely worth it! Hot, soft, and delicious rye bread, perfect for spreading jam or peanut butter on!

Method

  • Mix all the ingredients in a bowl using your hands. When you have formed a dough, transfer it to a surface dusted with flour and knead the dough for 10 minutes.

  • Transfer the dough back to the bowl and cover with a clean towel. Leave it in a warm place for 2 hours. When the dough rises, start to kneading it for 10 minutes and then cover again with a towel and leave it for 1 to 2 hours.

  • Preheat the oven to 460 F. Transfer the bread to a baking dish, dusting it with flour beforehand, lash a few times with a sharp knife and bake for 30-40 minutes.

  • It should cool before serving, then it can be cut into slices.
