Broccoli Salad with Whole Grain Pasta

This recipe is truly as simple as boiling water and tossing in a few key pasta salad ingredients. Just cook the pasta correctly and add some of your favourite vegetables!


  • Whole grain pasta
    5,3 oz
  • Fresh or frozen broccoli florets
    8,8 oz
  • Frozen peas
    3,5 oz
  • Onion
    0,5 piece
  • Vegetable broth
    15,8 fl. oz
  • Olive oil
    1 tbsp
  • Grated hard cheese
    to taste

  • Peel the onion and cut it into small cubes. Separate the broccoli florets and roughly chop them. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the vegetables for 5 minutes.

  • Add the pasta and stir well until it turns a nice golden brown color. Now add the peas.

  • Pour in the broth, mix everything and bring it to a boil. Let the pasta cook over medium heat, uncovered, for about 10 minutes. Stir occasionally and add more broth if needed. Sprinkle the salad with grated cheese before serving.


  • If you prefer the pasta to be a little softer, just add 1-2 minutes to the cooking time.
