Peel the onion and cut it into small cubes. Separate the broccoli florets and roughly chop them. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the vegetables for 5 minutes.
Add the pasta and stir well until it turns a nice golden brown color. Now add the peas.
Pour in the broth, mix everything and bring it to a boil. Let the pasta cook over medium heat, uncovered, for about 10 minutes. Stir occasionally and add more broth if needed. Sprinkle the salad with grated cheese before serving.
If you prefer the pasta to be a little softer, just add 1-2 minutes to the cooking time.
