Chicken grape walnut salad is the great combination of sour, sweet, bitter and spicy tastes. If you don’t like the sour taste, remove the green apples and replace them with sweet ones. Before serving sprinkle with mint and green herbs to your taste.

  • Chicken breast
    1 pcs.
  • Green apples
    2 pcs.
  • Red grape
    0,5 cups
  • Celery
    1 stalk
  • Mayonnaise
    2,5 tbsp.
  • Yoghurt
    2,5 tbsp.
  • Lemon juice
    1 tbsp.
  • Chopped walnuts
    1 tbsp.
  • American mustard
    1 tbsp.
  • Salt, ground pepper
    to taste

Method

  • Fill a pot with water, add the chicken breast and salt. Cook for about 20-25 minutes after boiling. Then cut meat into small chunks.

  • Rinse and peel the apples, remove seeds. Then cut them into cubes.

  • Rinse the celery stalks under running water, then finely cut.

  • Rinse the grapes, then cut in half and remove the seeds.

  • Heat the frying pan. Brown the walnuts without oil until golden brown. Then remove and finely cut.

  • For the dressing we need to combine yoghurt, mayonnaise and mustard in a bowl. Then season with salt and pepper. Mix the sauce well.

  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl, pour the dressing over the salad and mix well. Before serving sprinkle with ground walnuts.

Tips

  • How to choose chicken meat? Buy the chicken with a light pink skin. Besides that, it should have a very mild smell or no odor. Remove the grape seeds and then add to the salad.
