A very tasty vegetable salad, poured with orange juice. The dish has a sweet taste, so add a little lemon juice or vinegar to make it sour. Serve with meat, hamburger or any side dish.

  • Head white cabbage

  • Head red cabbage
    pcs.
  • Carrot
    pcs.
  • Orange
    pcs.
  • Stalk celery
  • Cilantro
    1,5 tsp.
  • Dijon mustard
    to taste
  • Vegetable oil
    1,5 tsp.
  • Honey
    to taste
  • Ground black pepper
    to taste
  • Salt
    to taste

Method

  • Peel the carrots, wash and grate.

  • Finely shred the cabbage.

  • Wash the cilantro and celery, chop them.

  • Salad dressing. Combine the following ingredients in a bowl: orange juice (squeeze it), oil, salt, mustard, ground pepper, honey. Mix well.

  • Put all ingredients in a salad bowl, pour over the dressing.

Tips

  • How to get lemon juice/orange. Take out the lemon from the fridge, leave it heat up for a few minutes. Then roll the fruit on your cooking board with your hands. This action helps to get more juice. Then slice the lemon crosswise using a sharp knife. Squeeze the lemon with the cutting side up, so the seeds don’t fall into the bowl.
