Peel the oranges and grapefruits. When peeling, make sure that the white part of the grapefruit peel is completely removed, as it tastes bitter. Cut the citrus fruits into slices and sprinkle them with sugar.
Peel the pomegranate. Rinse the mint or lemon balm and dry thoroughly. Arrange citrus slices on plates, sprinkle with pomegranate seeds, pistachios and mint before serving.
The fruits must be ripe to bring out the full flavor.
