Olivier, the Russian salad, which is cooked for winter holidays. It became famous thanks to the Russian migrants after Revolution in 1918. The classic Olivier salad includes the ham or sausages. This recipe is a new variation. Read our cooking direction, very easy to make!

  • Carrots

  • Red onion
    1 pcs.
  • Cucumbers
    2 pcs.
  • Pickled cucumbers
    2 pcs.
  • Salted salmon
    0,5 lb.
  • Pickled ginger
    2,5 tsp.
  • Green onion
    4,5 tsp
  • Dill
    4,5 tsp.
  • Mayonnaise
    17,5 tsp.
  • Lemon juice
    0,2 fl. oz
  • Salt
    to taste
  • Ground black pepper
    to taste

  • Pour water in a pot, put carrots and potatoes to boil.

  • Peel the cucumber.

  • Then cut the carrots, potatoes, pickled cucumbers, red onion and salmon into small cubes.

  • Cut the green onion and pickled ginger into strips.

  • Leave 1 sprig of dill for garnish, the rest of it cut finely.

  • To make sauce you need to mix mayonnaise, lemon juice, pickled ginger.

  • At the end mix all the ingredients with canned peas (without water). Season with sauce and spices. Serve garnished with a sprig of dill.
