Olivieh salad was the most popular dish among Russian aristocracy. But after Great Revolution the life was completely changed. The salad began to be called Soviet, and all expensive ingredients (grouse and capers) were removed. Very tasty and hearty salad for all family. Served as a salad or an appetizer.

  • Doctor’s sausage (boiled)

  • Mayonnaise
    15 tbsp.
  • Salt

Method

  • Pour water in a pot, put the carrots and potatoes to boil. Then peel the vegetables and cut into cubes.

  • Make eggs hard-boiled. Cook them for 10 minutes after boiling. Then cut into cubes.

  • Next, finely cut the pickled cucumbers and doctor’s sausage into cubes

  • Open the can of green peas, pour off the water.

  • Put all the ingredients into a bowl and mix them. Season with mayonnaise and sour cream. Add your favorite spices and greens.
