Chilled seafood salad with pasta

Do you like cooking pasta? Then make a chilled version with imitation crabmeat, shrimps and vegetables. It is the best recipe for side dish for hot summer months. The salad ingredients can be replaced with any kind of seafood to your taste.

  • Imitation crabmeat

  • Shrimps
    1 cups
  • Carrots
    1,5 pcs.
  • Onion

  • Sweet red pepper
    1 pcs.
  • Sweet green pepper
    1 pcs.
  • Green peas
    12 tbsp.
  • Cherry tomatoes
    1 lb.
  • Hard cheese
    2,3 lb.
  • Ranch dressing
    18 fl. oz

  • Fill a pot with water, pour 1 tbsp. of vegetable oil. Cook any kind of pasta according to the time on the package. Then transfer to a colander and drain it.

  • Cook the shrimps. Make sure that the shrimps are thawed. Fill a pot with water, add a pinch of salt and a little lemon juice. Bring the pot to a boil. Cook until the shrimps are pink. The cooking time is not more than 2 minutes! Finally, peel the shrimps from shell.

  • Cut the crabmeat in a random shape. Combine with shrimps in the salad bowl.

  • Grate the cheese and peeled carrots.

  • Defrost frozen green peas under hot water.

  • Wash the tomatoes, red and green pepper. Then finely cut all the vegetables.

  • Peel the onion, finely cut it.

  • Combine all the ingredients (except grated cheese) in the salad bowl. Season with your favorite spices. Put to the fridge for about 2 hours. Then drizzle with ranch dressing over the salad and sprinkle with grated cheese.


  • How to defrost shrimp. Transfer the package to the deep bowl or large pot. Then fill with cold water. Let sit for about half an hour, until the shrimps are completely defrosted.
