Mashed Potatoes With Chicken Meat In Its Own Juice

A different recipe from the usual ones. It is a healthy, but very delicious recipe. The meat juice completes the potato side dish, offering a special smell and taste. Suitable both for lunch and dinner.


  • Boneless chicken breast
    0,5 pcs.
  • Onions
    0,5 pcs.
  • Red bell pepper

  • Tomato paste
    0,5 tbsp.
  • Extra-virgin olive oil
    1 tbsp.
  • Dry spices
    to taste
  • Salt and pepper

  • Green bell pepper

  • Butter
    0,9 oz.
  • Tomato sauce
    2,2 oz.
  • Potatoes
    8,8 oz.

  • Wash and slice all the vegetables. Wash and cut the chicken breast into cubes. Mix the vegetables with the chicken cubes in a clean bowl, add spices to them, 3 tablespoons of oil, tomato paste and tomato sauce. Mix everything.

  • In a saucepan greased with butter, add the chicken breast with vegetables, add a piece of butter on top, put the lid on and leave on low heat for one hour and 10 minutes. Do not lift the cap or mix.

  • Cut the potatoes in cubes and boil them in salted water for 30 minutes. When they are ready, drain the potatoes from the water, add the milk and butter. Mash the potatoes with hand mixer and season to taste. Add the chicken on top of the mashed potatoes and serve it hot.


  • Serve the dish hot, with some pickles on the side.

  • You can add different spices at your choice, for example curry or sweet paprika.
