  • To make the rice fluffy, rinse it under cold water for about 30 seconds using a fine mesh strainer. This step helps to get rid of any excess starch, resulting in a perfectly cooked dish.

  • To cook the rice, start by boiling water and salt in a medium saucepan over high heat. Once the water comes to a boil, add the rinsed rice, give it a quick stir, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the saucepan with a lid and let the rice simmer until it's tender and all the liquid has been absorbed, which should take approximately 45 minutes.
