Rice pilaf is a nutritious meal that will give your body energy for the whole day. Onions give the dish a special taste. You can't do without it. Garlic gives a specific aroma, which actively fights harmful bacteria and helps cleanse the blood vessels. And of course, spices play an important role in the preparation of pilaf.

  • Jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced

Method

  • Before you start preparing the dish itself, you should prepare the chicken broth.

  • Let's prepare the frying. In a preheated skillet, fry the onions using olive oil. Salt the roast. The frying time is about 3 min. The onion should soften.

  • Then add rice and orzo. Mix everything well. Cook for about 2 min. Always stir the ingredients while cooking.

  • In order for the dish to become more piquant and aromatic, add garlic and chopped jalapeno pepper. Pepper has to be peeled from seeds. After the rice has swollen, add cilantro and cook for 1 min. Cilantro should first be chopped.

  • We pass to the final stage. Add the cooked chicken broth and stir the ingredients. Bring the dish to a boil. Next, reduce heat to minimum temperature. Cover the dish with a lid. Continue cooking pilaf until cooked. This usually takes 20 min. The rice and orzo should be soft. Here is the finish line. The dish is ready. Let the pilaf brew for a couple of minutes under the lid and can be served. Stir the pilaf with a fork before serving. Add cilantro and spices of your choice. Don't forget salt and pepper. Enjoy and energize your body!

  • Pay your attention to rice. It must necessarily be long-grain. Do not use other rice. Otherwise, you can get a homogeneous mushy mass. Consequently, the dish will be spoiled.
