Aromatic, easy, delicate Cheddar cheese sauce! We suggest you to try a quick way to cook a delicious sauce that will ideally be combined with pasta and other hot dishes. You only need a few ingredients and a little time!


  • Butter
    1 tsp.
  • Dry mustard
    to taste
  • Wheat flour
    1 tsp.
  • Milk
    5 tbsp.
  • Salt
    to taste
  • Ground black pepper
    to taste
  • Cheddar cheese
    2 tbsp.
  • Chili sauce
    to taste

  • Melt the butter in a small saucepan. 

  • Add flour and mustard to the melted butter.

    Stir several times until the sauce will begin to thicken and boil.

  • We continue to stir the sauce over low heat.  After we need add a milk little by little. (try to mix carefully to make sure there are no lumps).

    Cook about 1-2 minutes, wait for the sauce to thicken.

  • Next, put cheese in the sauce and mix for a couple of minutes until it melted.

    Finally, remove the sauce from the heat and add pepper, salt and chili sauce to taste.


  • It is possible to use high-fat cream instead of milk. (Cream should be added carefully, in small portions, stirring immediately with a spatula)

    Instead of Cheddar cheese, you can use other hard cheeses such as Parmesan.
