Baked Sweet Potatoes

The sweet flavor and simplicity of the recipe make it one of the more accessible dishes to cook for dinner, and a really great addition to a healthy diet.


  • Olive oil
    2 tbsp.
  • Sweet potatoes
    3 large pieces
  • Dried oregano
    2 pinches
  • Salt
    2 pinches
  • Ground black pepper
    2 pinches

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In the meantime, cover the bottom of a baking pan of your choice with olive oil.




  • Cut sweet potatoes into medium sized pieces after cleaning and peeling them. You can cut the potatoes in whatever shape you prefer.


  • Place in the baking pan, and stir till everything is coated with oil. Salt, pepper, and oregano should be added.



  • Bake for about an hour in the preheated oven, or until tender. You can check it with a fork.




  • You can cut the potatoes into smaller pieces, like an inch, so it would take about 40 minutes to cook.



  • If you are out of oregano, two crushed garlic cloves with half a yellow onion, diced, should do the trick.
