Prepare an outside grill on high heat and grease the grate liberally with oil.
Wash the yams, then cut them into halves and lay each half in the middle of an aluminum foil sheet. 1/2 of the butter should be placed on top of each piece. Garnish each part with a tablespoon of brown sugar, cumin, and cayenne pepper. Sprinkle with pepper and salt to taste. Fold the aluminum foil edges together and bind them to form a bag around each part.
Cook for 20 to 30 min, flipping the bags after 10 minutes, until the potatoes are soft and cooked thoroughly. You can eat them in halves, or cut them into very thin slices.
Spray the foil well with non-stick spray before placing the ingredients on it, so they don't stick.
You can serve them with grilled pork tenderloin and peach barbecue sauce. Delicious combination!
Bon Appetit!
