Combine the ingredients for garnish.
In a saucepan, melt the butter and fry the onion in it until it becomes soft, then add the potatoes, asparagus and spices, fry for 3 minutes. When done, pour in the stock, add the lemon zest and bring to the boil. When the soup comes to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer for another 15-20 minutes.
Puree the soup until smooth and pour onto plates, serve with garnish.
